The Maintenance Repairman 2 position with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources gives you the chance to use hands-on skills in a beautiful park setting. This position performs skilled repair, maintenance and construction work across various trades to support the buildings, facilities, and equipment throughout Ridley Creek State Park. The role helps ensure park operations remain safe, functional, and well maintained for staff and visitors. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

Skills:
Perform carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, and mechanical work for construction and repairs - Project Planning:Contact vendors, gather cost estimates and prepare forms for supervisor review
- Lead Work:Guide laborers and other staff during maintenance and construction projects
- Equipment Care:Operate park equipment safely and complete required logs and reports
- Landscaping Tasks:Maintain turf, trails, garden areas, and complete seasonal tasks such as snow removal
- Facility Upkeep:Clean and maintain buildings, tools, and materials according to park procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Due to being a 24 hour operation, employee will work 37.5 hours/5 days per week to include holidays and weekends.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades;
or - Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
