Cambria County Children and Youth Services is seeking a County Social Services Aide 1 to provide essential support to caseworkers in helping families achieve established goals and objectives. This position assists with a variety of client-related and administrative tasks that contribute to the delivery of quality social services. This position assists professional social service staff by performing practical and clerical case management tasks. Work helps connect the children and families we support with community-based and child and family-focused services. As a County Social Services Aide 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Support Caseworkers: Help interview clients to learn information we need to determine if they qualify for services; assist with other case management tasks as directed
- Provide Transportation: Drive a county vehicle or arrange for other transportation to help clients get to medical, visitation, court, and other important appointments
- Interact with Clients: Help plan and make home visits, conduct urine drug tests of parents and youth in the office setting; and supervise children in the office or court setting as needed
- Observe Progress: Notice how children and families are doing and share what you see with advisors and treatment team members to help them make treatment plans and goals more effective
- Connect Clients to Resources: Provide information and referral services to help clients meet housing, food, and other basic needs
- Perform Clerical Work: Document all contact with clients, upload photos or other documents to specific case files, and complete other data entry as assigned
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- Graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
