This role focuses on safeguarding older adults who may be at risk and ensuring they receive vital support. As a Bilingual Aging Care Manager 3, you will perform the following duties:

• Protective Services: Provide protective services to consumers experiencing abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment
• Case Investigation: Investigate referrals and maintain required legal timelines according to protective services standards
• Case Documentation: Prepare case histories, letters, reports, and maintain detailed case records
• Information Gathering: Obtain medical, psychological, and financial information needed to determine service eligibility
• Advisory Support: Offer casework guidance to consumers and families to resolve specific issues
• Interagency Coordination: Collaborate with courts, law enforcement, hospitals, and other agencies to meet consumer needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as an Aging Care Manager 2 or Aging Program Assessor; or
• One and one-half years of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes six months of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience.

Other Requirements:

• This position requires the selected candidate to be able to read, write, and speak in Spanish. You may be contacted for a Spanish speaking proficiency evaluation conducted by the Bureau of Talent Acquisition, PA Office of Administration. If contacted, you must pass the speaking evaluation in order to be deemed eligible for this position. Your proficiency in reading and writing in Spanish must be demonstrated during the probationary period to achieve regular status in the position.

Legal Requirements:

• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
