This role centers on providing safe and dependable transportation services for consumers throughout the county. As a Part-time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:
- Safe Transport:
Provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for senior adults and wheelchair-dependent individuals - Vehicle Operation:
Operate a County vehicle for long-distance daily travel while maintaining a focus on consumer comfort - Boarding Assistance:
Assist consumers with boarding, exiting, and navigating uneven or unpaved paths with dignity - Clear Communication:
Communicate effectively with consumers, dispatch, and agency staff through direct interaction and radio use - Technology Use:
Utilize electronic tablets and other approved tools to access schedules and document services
- Part-time employment (14 to 21+ hours per week)
- Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will required submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
