Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
Responsible to use the skills and education required to install, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on all plant equipment and the facility as assigned.
Essential Functions- Education required/preferred: High School diploma or GED. Minimum of two years trade school or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Industrial experience in a similar industry preferred.

Qualifications:- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in basic mechanical or electrical skills.
- Excellent precision measuring ability.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems.
- Understand practical aspects of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and proper lubrication selection & application.

Competencies:- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use all general mechanical hand tools and light power tools.
- Knowledge of light machine shop tools.
- Other
Skills:- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Self‑motivated.
- Detail oriented.
- Assessment: Employee must pass pre‑employment screening.
- Report directly to the Plant Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- Work closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment.
Work requires occasional, frequent, and continuous tasks with repetitive motions. Lift up to 30 lbs; may involve bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to work under restrictive conditions and be prepared for flexible hours and short notice overtime.
