The LPN strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act and BBGH policies. The LPN provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes.
LPN's practice nursing dependently under the direction of registered nurses or licensed medical practitioners through the application of the nursing process and the execution of diagnostic or therapeutic regimens prescribed by licensed medical practitioners. LPN practice includes the assumption of responsibilities and accountabilities for the performance of acts within their educational background and utilizing procedures leading to predictable outcomes. The administration and management of nursing by LPN's includes directing and assigning nursing interventions that may be performed by others.
The LPN has a responsibility to act as educator to their peers, patients, and patient families. All aspects of the LPN's performance supports service excellence and a healing environment. The LPN identifies and communicates needed unit resources or equipment to be included in budgets. Due to changing organizational needs, work hours may vary.
A 30-day notice is required when employee resigns position.
