POSITION SUMMARYThe LPN strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act and BBGH policies. The LPN provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes.
LPN's practice nursing dependently under the direction of registered nurses or licensed medical practitioners through the application of the nursing process and the execution of diagnostic or therapeutic regimens prescribed by licensed medical practitioners. LPN practice includes the assumption of responsibilities and accountabilities for the performance of acts within their educational background and utilizing procedures leading to predictable outcomes. The administration and management of nursing by LPN's includes directing and assigning nursing interventions that may be performed by others.
The LPN has a responsibility to act as an educator to their peers, patients, and their families. All aspects of LPN's performance supports service excellence and a healing environment. The LPN identifies and communicates needed unit resources or equipment to be included in budgets.
A 30-day notice is required when an employee resigns.
Post-offer/per-employment background check and drug screen are required.
