Role Description

The Lead Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Alliance, OH, responsible for guiding the daily educational experience of children in the classroom. This position plans and delivers age-appropriate lessons, facilitates individual and group learning, and ensures a safe, nurturing environment. The Lead Teacher observes and documents developmental progress, communicates regularly with families and colleagues, and collaborates on curriculum and classroom management.

Additional responsibilities include mentoring support staff, participating in staff meetings and trainings, and adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Education and practical experience in Teaching young children.
  • Ability to design and implement effective Lesson Planning tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Clear, professional Communication skills for interaction with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience in Training or mentoring classroom assistants or support staff.
  • Relevant credential such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of child development best practices and classroom behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment.
  • Willingness to complete background checks and meet state childcare licensing requirements.
