Home Health RN Visit Nurse (Part‑Time or PRN)
Active Ohio RN in good standing is required.
- At least 1 year of paid experience at a home health agency (or equivalent) is required; 2‑5 years’ experience is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Case Management, wound care, PICC/PORT/IV Care, lab draws, plus OASIS and Non‑OASIS assessments. Nurse Supervision experience is a plus.
- Part‑Time or PRN Visit Nurse requires a minimum travel radius of Stark, Mahoning, and Trumbull Counties including Niles, OH;
Alliance, OH, and surrounding areas up to 60 minutes (up to 90 minutes on occasion). - Required schedule availability:
Monday – Friday (weekdays) from 8am – 5/6pm. Daytime Visits (No PDN). - No On‑Call requirements / No Overnight shifts required.
- No Required Weekends (optional when available).
- Qualified applicants may reside in or near any primary service area so long as travel requirements are fulfilled throughout the assigned region.
- Long‑term employment for Part‑time or PRN positions. Opportunity to expand role into larger Part‑Time or Full‑Time employment may be available.
- Overtime, Respite & PRN services are offered when available but are not required.
- Starting pay rate: RNs $35 – $40 per hour.
- Weekly pay on Fridays.

- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Active RN with current license to practice in Ohio.
- At least 1 year in home health industry + 1 year of nursing experience; additional home health nursing experience desired.
- Active CPR and First Aid certificates preferred (agency will provide recertification if required).
- Minimum 1 year direct patient experience with ventilator care required.
- Good interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal.
- Desirable character traits: reliable, honest, professional, compassionate, detail‑oriented, accountable, friendly, respectful.
- Current driver’s license or state , plus reliable transportation.
- Excellent attendance record with past employers.
- Ability to meet all basic job requirements.
- Willingness and ability to pass state and federal background check.
- Consent to background check, including criminal record check and employment and education verification.
A successful RN Visit Nurse performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within agency guidelines. Care is delivered as delegated by the RN Case Manager.
Reports ToRN Case Manager;
Clinical Administrator/Director of Nursing.
- Provides professional nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Communicates appropriate status/condition changes.
- Provides skilled nursing visits for clients as directed. Follows the care plan established by the Registered Nurse.
- Recognizes and reports changes in client condition to the Case Manager and physician.
- Communicates information in a timely manner consistent with agency policy. Documentation in the clinical record.
- Scope of practice includes personal care services, assessment, medication monitoring and administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and nursing services within professional scope and as delegated.
- Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
- Demonstrates knowledge of safety/infection control practices by compliance with policies and procedures.
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to potentially unsafe situations.
- Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Makes recommendations on improvement of safety.
