Manufacturing Safety Coordinator
An established manufacture in the Alliance, Ohio area to recruit a Part-Time Safety Manufacturing Coordinator. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to split time between high-level regulatory compliance and hands-on shop floor safety management. The role is structured as 60% office, training, and compliance management, and 40% hands-on tactical safety execution on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on safety inspections, routine audits, and walkthroughs of both shop floor and office environments alongside the Safety Department to identify and eliminate workplace hazards.
- Support incident and near-miss reporting processes.
- Manage technical safety documentation, data entry, and the verification of corrective action tracking.
- Maintain rigorous, OSHA-required records and safety documentation, including employee training records, incident logs, and facility inspection logs.
- Administer ISNetworld functions by uploading documentation, verifying compliance data, and ensuring strict corporate accuracy within the system.
- Develop and distribute internal safety communications, including weekly toolbox talks, bulletin postings, and monthly safety newsletters.
- Organize employee safety education efforts by preparing training materials, managing sign-in verification sheets, and assisting with live training delivery.
- Monitor daily PPE compliance across production teams and manage the inventory tracking, ordering, and organization of safety equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related environmental field.
- In-depth, working knowledge of current OSHA standards, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience tracking safety metrics, building technical reports, and assisting with safety policy development.
- Excellent interpersonal, advisory, and communication skills to effectively interface with both shop floor personnel and corporate management.
- Advanced technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
