Job Overview
We are partnering with a long‑standing, specialized packaging manufacturer in Gratiot County, MI that is looking to develop the next generation of reliable workers. The role is a foundational position in corrugated packaging production where you will learn the primary aspects of the business from the ground up to build a long‑term career.
Shift & Compensation- 1st Shift only: 5:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday (occasional overtime on Fridays 5:00 am – 11:00 am).
- Start at $15.00/hr, increasing to $16.00/hr upon permanent hire.
- Medical insurance and paid time off (PTO) available upon permanent hire.
- A diverse customer base keeps the company busy year‑round with no seasonal layoffs.
- Learn and assist in loading specialized machinery such as flatbed die cutters and slitter machines to shape raw material into custom packaging.
- Precision assembly of packaging materials – bending and folding boxes to meet exact customer dimensions.
- Measure down to 1/16 of an inch with visual aids to ensure product quality.
- Manage materials typically weighing between 30–40 lbs.
- Show up on time and consistently – attendance is the #1 metric for success.
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols, especially regarding machine pinch points and material handling.
- Maintain focus on work and limit cell‑phone use to emergencies only.
- Must pass a urine drug screen (zero‑tolerance policy for THC) and a background check.
