Why This Role Matters
The Clinical Services Supervisor provides leadership, clinical oversight, and professional support for outpatient therapy and crisis response services. This role is ideal for a licensed clinician who wants to lead people, strengthen systems, and ensure high-quality care—without being the primary overnight crisis responder.
Crisis services operate 24/7. This position supports those services through supervision, consultation, and structured on‑call leadership, not constant front‑line response.
What You’ll Do
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to outpatient therapists and behavioral health consultants
- Oversee clinical quality, documentation, and compliance with Medicaid and Mental Health Code requirements
- Support evidence‑based, trauma‑informed practices across programs
- Collaborate with psychiatry, compliance, and utilization management teams
- Guide staff through complex clinical situations and crisis decision‑making
- Coordinate scheduling and chair clinical team meetings
- Participate in a scheduled after‑hours Emergency Services Unit (ESU) supervisory rotation to provide consultation and leadership support
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- State of Michigan licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or higher
- Experience in mental health services, including clinical supervision
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Comfort supporting crisis systems through leadership and consultation
- Valid Michigan driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Preferred / Valued
- CAADC credential
- Lived experience with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders
What Makes This Role Different
- You lead clinicians, not just manage schedules
- Crisis involvement is structured, rotational, and supervisory
- You influence systems, quality, and culture
- Strong collaboration with leadership and clinical partners
- Mission‑driven work with real community impact
This role supports programs that operate around the clock. After‑hours responsibilities are handled through a planned supervisory rotation and are not a nightly expectation.
