Transportation Helper, General Labor

GFL Environmental -  - Responsibilities:
Collect solid waste and recyclables from customer premises or curbside;
Load waste into collection vehicle;
Sort recyclables into proper compartments;
Assist driver in safe vehicle operation and backing up in tight spaces;
Operate equipment to compact materials;
Audit vehicle equipment before leaving branch;
Report customer-related problems to driver;
Identify and remove prohibited waste items;
Follow safety and equipment checks and precautions;
Work with supervisor to improve routing efficiencies;
Maintain route quality standards;
Wear required personal protective equipment at all times;
Assist with keeping interior/exterior of vehicle clean;
Assist with sorting, cleaning carts, warehouse tasks, and pallet stacking as needed;
Attend safety and branch meetings;
Perform other duties as required by management
