Accounting Manager
What does a successful Accounting Manager do at Fiserv?
As an Accounting Manager at Fiserv, you will oversee daily accounting operations, lead general ledger reconciliation and monthly close activities, and assess accounting treatment for complex technology-related expenditures to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Fiserv policies. You will partner with Finance, IT, and business leaders to deliver accurate financial reporting, improve processes, and support audits and regulatory requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending accounting expertise with a strong understanding of technology operations.
What will you do:
* Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, account analysis, reconciliations, and periodic reporting to meet month-end and quarter-end deliverables.
* Lead, train, and develop the Central Accounting India team for assigned general ledger accounts; review work and ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
* Assign work, set priorities, and provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance and productivity.
* Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to determine accounting treatment for technology-related purchases and capitalized costs.
* Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase accuracy and efficiency.
* Lead technical accounting analysis and resolution of complex accounting matters; support external and internal audits.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements, and Fiserv accounting policies.

What you will need to have:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and related experience and/or military experience
* 5+ years experience in Accounting
* Experience with U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (EXCEL) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

* Familiarity with technology-related capitalization rules and accounting for software or IT projects
* Master's Degree
* CPA license or CPA track
How you'll work:
* This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
* This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
