Program Summary
Lennar’s Accounting Intern Program is a 10‑week paid internship beginning in June for rising college seniors. It applies theoretical knowledge to real‑world projects, develops interpersonal and technical skills, and positions interns for future career success and leadership opportunities. Participants work alongside seasoned professionals in a collaborative culture and become immersed in Lennar’s culture through onboarding, training, and team‑building.
All positions within the Future Builders Program are temporary and do not guarantee future employment with Lennar. Upon program completion, the company will decide whether to offer a full‑time role based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, management reporting, and reconciliations for month‑end and quarterly‑end closing activities.
- Ensure the adequacy and compliance of internal control systems.
- Examine records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to appraise the accuracy of our systems.
- Draft memos, compute estimated payments, and undertake provisional tax work to control business risks.
- Current junior working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree, graduating within 2 years (preferred).
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and valid auto insurance coverage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

This is primarily a sedentary office position requiring the ability to work more than eight hours per day in a confined office space. Physical requirements include bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and moving items up to 50 pounds, as well as operating a computer keyboard and calculator. Filming and filing tasks require standing, while the majority of work is performed at a computer monitor for extended periods.
