Position Summary
This distinct internship program is designed to expose the future leaders of public accounting to partners, business operations, and client engagement at a growing national CPA firm. Interns gain hands‑on experience in audit, tax preparation, and research, working on a variety of assignments while receiving competitive compensation.
Responsibilities- Complete tax and audit engagements for designated clients under the direction of a Supervisor or Manager.
- Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements.
- Conduct business‑specific research: gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports, and make recommendations to principals and partners.
- Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow‑through.
- Perform other duties and projects assigned.
- Working toward a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance (a completed degree is a plus).
- GPA of 3.20 or higher.
- Preferred completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and/or be on track to sit for the CPA examination.
- Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurate, detail‑oriented work with strong organization and follow‑through.
- Ability to work under close supervision, accept constructive feedback, and make adjustments.
- Strong collaboration skills and capacity to foster a productive, team‑oriented environment with colleagues and clients.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, and report‑writing tools.
