Position Summary
The Manager will manage a variety of audit and other attest assignments as designated by the Principal or Partner. The Manager should function with minimal supervision and place increased focus on supervising and mentoring Supervisors, Staff and Senior Accountants, strengthening and developing client relationships, and increasing office profitability. While this position operates within the Firm’s broader Tax/Audit practice, the individual in this role will spend the majority of their time supporting audit clients and providing audit‑specific technical expertise.
Responsibilities- Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, technical issues and other decisions.
- Oversee completion of engagements, identifying and solving problem areas during the engagement with minimal oversight.
- Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
- Supervise and mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants and Staff, guiding and educating them in technical areas, identifying professional development opportunities and maintaining a respectful team atmosphere.
- Complete annual performance evaluations for assigned staff and manage employee performance conversations.
- Assist Principals and Partners with identifying and pursuing new clients.
- Find opportunities to turn acquired technical knowledge into high value‑added opportunities for Firm clients.
- Promote the Firm’s image through conference panels, firm publications, recruiting events, in‑house and client trainings, and fostering collegial relationships with all Partners, employees, clients and prospects.
- Develop, strengthen and grow client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness and a service‑oriented approach.
- Enhance industry skills by seeking out and completing training courses.
- Increase office profitability by managing time efficiently and contributing ideas and value.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance (advanced degree is a plus) and 5–8 years of experience in public accounting, and/or an appropriate balance of education and work experience.
- CPA license is strongly preferred.
- Expert understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and strong personal, technical and professional judgment.
- Accurate, time‑efficient work with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and follow‑through skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize a fast‑paced, varied workload and manage concurrent priorities.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback from the Partner group and make adjustments as directed.
- Team‑oriented and collaborative mindset.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and report writing tools.
- Professional demeanor with co‑workers and clients; ability to gain the confidence of the existing Partner group.
- Meet internal Firm deadlines (time entry, billing, etc.).
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and travel domestically as required.

Salary: $160,000 depending on experience. More is possible if experience dictates.
