Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely processing of internal and external invoices, company credit card transactions, and payments to contractors and vendors.
Responsibilities- Manage credit card and transaction processing and reconciliation.
- Process invoices and payments.
- Process and verify accuracy of client billing for all transactions.
- Keep accounts accurate and current.
- Process expense reports for internal employees.
- Update and verify contractor information in the accounting system, including direct deposit information and W9.
- Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with management, team members, and other teams.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and technical skills.
- Well‑organized and detail‑oriented.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Customer‑service orientation.
- Ability to multi‑task in a deadline‑driven, high‑volume environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with others.
- Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and procedures, including expense coding.
- Basic knowledge of office applications and accounting software.
- Knowledge of 1099 reporting.
- 1–2 years of accounts payable experience preferred.
- Staffing agency experience preferred.
- Workday experience helpful.
- Industry stability with a nationally respected leader in healthcare staffing.
