Senior Accountant; Private Equity

The Role

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their central finance team, reporting to the Accounting Manager. In this role, you’ll be hands‑on across accounting operations for a complex multi‑entity, multi‑state structure — executing close processes, handling intercompany accounting, supporting acquisition integrations, and contributing to financial reporting and controls.

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across multiple entities and locations
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and account analyses
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and support eliminations
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial reporting packages
• Support accounting integration of acquired businesses, including chart of accounts mapping and balance sheet validation
• Provide support for external audits, lender reporting, and investor‑level financial requirements
• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities within accounting operations
• Partner with FP&A and operations teams on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
• Experience with multi‑site, multi‑state, or multi‑entity organizations preferred
• Strong technical foundation in GAAP, reconciliations, and month‑end close processes
• Exposure to intercompany accounting and consolidations a plus
• Experience with in a private equity‑backed organization a plus
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling)
