Accounts Payable Specialist

Client Overview:

Established organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team.

$25/hr - $27/hr

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for accurately and timely processing vendor invoices, payments, and related accounting transactions while ensuring proper approvals, coding, and internal controls.

• Process and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents, expense reports, and payment transactions.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor information and verify banking details.
• Support month-end close and respond to internal and external payment inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, approvals, and internal controls.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed.

• 1-3 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred.
• Large ERP experience such as Great Plains, Oracle, or SAP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with three-way matching, purchase orders, and account reconciliations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
