Controller – Construction
A strong, stable Construction firm is seeking a Controller to support the CFO and lead a small team of accountants. Hiring immediately for a full-time position in Alpharetta, GA. Due to growth and continued success, financial leadership is needed to ensure strong internal controls and project accounting.

Salary: $140k-$150k plus bonus, and excellent benefits
Position overview:
We're looking for a hands-on Controller with experience in construction accounting to manage day-to-day financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This individual will be instrumental in maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial clarity across multiple projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions
- Collaborate with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
- Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with project managers and operations for financial tracking
- Implement and optimize use of financial and construction software
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry
- Proficiency in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar
- Familiarity with Procore or equivalent project management software
- Strong job costing and AI billing experience
- Sales tax compliance experience is a plus
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
