Senior Accountant
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Corporate Accounting
- Prepare/upload journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Monthly detailed variance analysis
- Fixed Asset accounting
- Team leader, cross train and backup other accounting staff
- Assist Accounting Manager with month-end close/journal entry review
- External audit support
- Annual Census Bureau reporting
- Adhoc projects
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in related position
- Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables
- Microsoft Access skills a plus
- Experience and understanding of accounting and ERP systems, Infor (Lawson) 10 preferred
- Experience with Sage FAS or similar Fixed Asset system
- Large company, high transaction volume experience
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Observant and detail oriented
- Self directed and highly responsive
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work well with teams and coordinate projects
- Willing to work obligatory overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays if necessary. There will be overtime during monthly close and during the annual audit.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in accounting related field
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
