OverviewSeeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Legal Assistant to join our team. In this position, the successful candidate will provide essential support needed with day-to-day administrative tasks and legal processes.
Responsibilities- Medical records requests, including retrieval, verification, release authorization, uploading, and secure transmission.
- Schedule conference calls and appointments with doctors and clients.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while complying with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Communicate with vendors to fulfill records requests.
- File and organize legal documents; manage and update case files.
- Provide information to claims professionals and insureds.
- Answer calls, respond to emails and forward correspondences.
- Data management utilizing legal software platform and workers' compensation sites.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning, and mail.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous office or administrative experience is a plus but not required.
