The Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) provides a diverse environment in the specialty insurance industry, offering a growing product portfolio and global reach. This role is part of the Cyber & Professional Lines Group within TMHCC.
Responsibilities- Process business inquiries for Underwriting review and enter client information into databases; maintain electronic filing records.
- Process bound applications, including review and issuing policies on behalf of the Underwriting Department.
- Process loss run requests for existing policyholders and/or brokers/agents.
- Identify and process new and renewal applications for underwriting review; ensure data accuracy in systems/applications/databases.
- Issue insurance policies and review terms, limits, premiums, and other details for accuracy.
- Prioritize daily workflow and produce high-quality, detail-oriented outputs; meet quality and production minimums.
- Review data for inconsistencies, retrieve missing information, and resolve discrepancies.
- Create and maintain correspondence and other records within electronic filing systems.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external clients via in-person, mail, email, phone, and electronic systems.
- Draft business correspondence on behalf of supervisors, managers, and other professionals.
- Develop expertise in the team’s function and pursue ongoing learning and growth.
- Complete tasks in a fast, high-quality, service-oriented manner; focus on time-sensitive, production-based work.
- Participate in system enhancement or process improvement discussions as appropriate.
- Education: High School or GED
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant and progressive office experience
- Other: Excellent data entry skills; ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
- Good written and verbal communication with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent follow-through
- Team-oriented attitude with attention to detail; ability to detect discrepancies in wording, grammar, spelling, and numbers
- Flexible, able to handle competing demands, time-efficient, and prioritizes appropriately
- Good judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Comfortable meeting quality and production measurements
