The Presale Organization is the technical lifeblood of the Sales Organization. Our engineers bring to life the innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter and the Presale Business Manager coordinates all of the costing related to that solution and provides sales with the consolidated proposal document that will be presented to the customer.
Job DescriptionThe Presales Business Manager (PBM) will manage the development and implementation of the presale process for public safety solutions. The Presales Business Manager provides total presales solution ownership as the overall presale team business leader and manages the overall project business for their assigned projects.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with departmental and cross functional teams, focused on delivering accurate and timely proposals.
- Manage projects from identification of the presale opportunity and proposal inception to transition of the project to the post sale team.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and in conformance with relevant requirements.
- Work with the other business groups to identify upcoming opportunities, evaluate requirements, identify specific statements of work, and produce detailed project schedules, ensuring the proposed customer solution will be implemented with the best possible strategy.
- Assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years experience in Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Proposal Management, Product Management or Finance.
- 6+ years experience in Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Proposal Management, Product Management or Finance.
- Comfortable presenting to internal audiences.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, PowerPoint, Slides.
- Take ownership of projects to drive multiple people to meet project deadlines.
- Develop trusted relationships with work partners and customers.
- Develop overall implementation approach, service strategy and proposal plan.
- Manage the development and implementation of the entire presale process focused on delivering accurate and timely proposals.
- Issue RFQs (Request for Quote) for third‑party content and negotiate for best cost‑benefit to Motorola Solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years experience in Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Proposal Management, Product Management or Finance.
- 6+ years experience in Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Proposal Management, Product Management or Finance.
