We are looking for a Rolling Stock Financial Analyst Intern. This position will be based at our Alpharetta area branch located in Georgia.
- During your journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Finance Department where you will learn how together with Project Managers, manage all commercial and financial aspects of projects across all project phases.

A Little Bit About UsSiemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail - including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

This team plays a critical role in translating Siemens' strategic initiatives into successful and profitable projects.
As Financial Analysts, we serve as the financial stewards of each project - monitoring budgets, forecasts, and actuals to ensure cost transparency and control. Our focus is on maximizing margins and minimizing risks, directly contributing to Siemens' bottom line.
What your day-to-day will look like- Work closely with Project Management on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accurate project funding.
- Coordinate with Legal for contract reviews and compliance, minimizing legal risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engage with Procurement teams to negotiate with vendors and manage purchase orders effectively controlling project costs.
- Align with Engineering, Operations, and Sales to ensure planning, execution, and commercial terms support company goals.

- Education / Majors:
Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics or business-related degree - with strong technical or analytical aptitude
- Availability: 40 hours per week from June to August
- Work Authorization:
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization - Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred)
