Construction Electrical Estimator

Responsibilities

• Assess project requirements and identify key cost‑driving variables
• Collect on‑site and first‑hand data from project locations, warehouses, and vendors
• Research labor, material, and production costs to build accurate estimates
• Analyze and forecast costs using estimating and budgeting software (McCormick, EMB, Excel, etc.)
• Review subcontractor and vendor quotes, perform risk analysis, and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Prepare and submit detailed estimates or bids while advising on schedules, manpower, and planning

• Relevant credentials and experience, including 3+ years of Design/Build estimating, 5+ years of electrical estimating (preferred), and CPE certification as an asset
• Strong financial, project management, and analytical skills, supported by solid math and IT ability
• Advanced knowledge of estimating methods, research techniques, data analysis, and industry formulas
• Proficiency with estimating software, including McCormick, EMB, Excel, and related tools
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities, with a reputation for reliability and thoroughness
