Construction Estimator

This is a part‑time, hybrid Estimator / Business Development Manager role based in Alpharetta, GA, with flexibility for some work from home. The primary role is to support our estimating, bidding, and preconstruction process. This role is responsible for reviewing plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate understands construction drawings, quantity take‑offs, subcontractor pricing, supplier quotes, bid proposal preparation, and the importance of organized follow‑up throughout the preconstruction phase.

In addition to estimating responsibilities, this role will assist with bid coordination and light business development support, including tracking bid opportunities, maintaining subcontractor and supplier contacts, supporting proposal documents, and helping keep the bid pipeline organized.

This is not a traditional sales position. However, the right candidate should understand that estimating, bidding, relationship‑building, timely follow‑up, and organized communication are all connected parts of winning construction work.

• Strong project estimation skills, including Project Estimation and experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and subcontractor bids.
• Proven business development capabilities, including Business Development and Sales, with a record of generating and closing construction opportunities.
• Excellent customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service and Communication, with a professional, responsive, and collaborative approach.
• Familiarity with construction estimating software and basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with CRM tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of commercial and residential construction methods, materials, and scheduling; prior experience with multi-state or regional contractors is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage multiple bids and client relationships, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
