Smile Pop, a leading provider in pediatric dental care, is excited to announce the availability of a full-time Dental Hygienist position within our vibrant and dynamic team. This opportunity is based in our state-of-the-art facilities located in Alpharetta and Cumming, Georgia. Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings which include reviewing patients health history, dental charting, and oral cancer screening.
- Perform dental prophylaxis and other preventative dental treatments, such as fluoride varnish applications and sealants, ensuring each child s comfort during procedures.
- Facilitate X-rays and dental imaging as required while ensuring children are safe and comfortable throughout the process.
- Provide oral hygiene instructions and education tailored to the individual needs of each pediatric patient and guardian.
- Implement infection control and sterilization protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with pediatric dentists and other team members to plan and execute comprehensive dental treatment for children.
- Document treatments, diagnostics, and consultations accurately in the patient s dental records.
- Participate in outreach and educational programs aimed at promoting oral health literacy and preventive dental care among children and their families in the community.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Current Dental Hygienist licensure in the state of Georgia.
- CPR certification specifically tailored for health care professionals.
- Minimum of two years experience in a pediatric or family dental practice is preferable.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building rapport with children and adolescents.
- Proficient in using modern dental software and digital radiography equipment.
- Strong commitment to adhering to ethical principles and protecting patient confidentiality.
- Able to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet our clinic’s needs and schedules.
- Passion for remaining current with advancements in dental technologies and pediatric dental hygiene practices through continuing education.
