We are seeking a dedicated and engaging educator to provide high-quality instruction in accordion performance and technique. The ideal candidate will create a supportive learning environment that helps students build musical confidence, develop strong foundational skills, and grow their appreciation for music. This role is well suited to an experienced musician who enjoys working with learners of varying ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver individualized or group accordion lessons tailored to each student’s goals and abilities.
- Teach proper playing technique, posture, hand position, rhythm, note reading, and musical expression.
- Develop lesson plans that support steady progress in repertoire, sight-reading, ear training, and performance skills.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Prepare students for recitals, auditions, examinations, or other performance opportunities as appropriate.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment.
- Communicate with students and families regarding progress, practice expectations, and scheduling as needed.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, ages, and experience levels.
- Proficiency in accordion performance with a strong understanding of musical theory and technique.
- Experience teaching music or private lessons is preferred.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently to learners of different ages.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and support student development.
- Familiarity with a range of musical styles and instructional approaches is a plus.
- Passion for music education and student success.
- Reliable, professional, and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Confidence in leading performances, workshops, or group instruction when needed.
