We are seeking an experienced customer service engineer to install, maintain and troubleshoot SMT equipment.
CompetenceBe orderly, organized, results-oriented, quickly responsive, and able to coordinate work. Must handle advanced technology tools (spreadsheets, worksheets, etc.). Be competent, based on appropriate education, training, or experience in overall performance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of SMT Equipment, PLC programming, and electrical/mechanical aspects of automation
- Able to effectively work with the customer
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
- Highly analytical
- Travel as needed (national and international)
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Physical demands are representative of those an employee will encounter while performing the functions in a typical office and manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to travel
- Mechanical, electrical, and software skills are a must.
- Five or more years of experience in manufacturing and automation
- Experience using CAD and CAM software preferred
- Receive direct service calls from customers.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and restore function to non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on existing automation equipment.
- Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.
- Provide customer training.
- Plan and schedule service trips.
- Issue quotes to customers.
- Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
- Periodically report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships and communicate equipment status often to the customer.
- Generate service reports for the customer and management.
- Follow all procedures and work instructions as defined in the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

LocationThis position is based in Alpharetta, GA, USA, with travel throughout the North American region as required.
