We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer (HVAC) to join a collaborative and fast-paced multidisciplinary team delivering innovative projects across Corporate, Academic, Healthcare, Science & Technology, Mission Critical, Industrial, Civic, Historic Preservation, and Mixed-Use sectors. This role is ideal for a motivated engineering professional who enjoys leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to high-impact building system designs from concept through construction administration.
Responsibilities include designing HVAC distribution systems and equipment layouts, performing load and energy calculations, preparing schematics and specifications, conducting field surveys, coordinating with clients and contractors, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. The role also includes mentoring junior designers, facilitating team collaboration, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME/BSMET) or equivalent technical training
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum 3 years of HVAC systems design experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and building codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- 8+ years of HVAC design experience in healthcare, labs, universities, mission critical, or commercial facilities
- Experience with Revit and HVAC design software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Teams
- Proven mentoring and team development experience
