The Network Engineer II reports to the Manager, Software and Services, and is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Landis+Gyr system’s network engineering infrastructure.
Network Engineering Responsibilities- Installing, configuring, and maintaining all network engineering equipment.
- Configure, maintain, and document all network elements supporting customer connectivity.
- Maintain and troubleshoot WAN/LAN and Cloud network connectivity.
- Work in tandem with operation and cloud teams to identify and implement the most optimal solutions for the company.
- Supports and adheres to company core values.
- Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
- Supports and adheres to company Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
- Represents company in a positive, professional manner when working with internal and external customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with Cisco, WAN/LAN, routing and switching network design and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows.
- Experience with Cloud networking configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Network Load Balancer installation and management.
- Experience with Network Firewall installation and management.
- Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) for IPv4 and IPv
6. - Experience with Change Management process and procedures.
- Experience with technical documentation—network drawings and process/procedure.
- Personal computer knowledge.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Keyboard/typing skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Regular contact with employees, external customers, and/or industry contacts.
Pay is in the range of $74,200 – $100,287 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. Base salary depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
