Senior Field Engineer

LG Electronics USA, Inc. in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Senior Field Engineer. The role manages the information flow of Commercial Air Conditioning (CAC) engineering for escalated service cases to proper HQ personnel to facilitate timely solutions and countermeasures to support Commercial Air Conditioning partners. The senior engineer is responsible for managing sensitive proprietary information including software, tools and technical documentation from the factory for dissemination.

They provide guidance and advice as a technical SME to ensure CAC field service issues are brought from inception to resolution. They manage information flow and knowledge transfer sessions for CAC field teams and related teams, and serve as a liaison between the CAC Aftermarket Support Team and various R&D departments. Responsibilities also include managing and collaborating with technical experts in LG CAC as well as LG Factory to identify and provide resolutions for technical issues, reviewing customer specific installation and service plan documents for CAC and chillers, ensuring quality stability following new product launches, providing on‑site technical support for quality issues, communicating with HQ to identify causes and resolve issues, visiting sites to provide technical support and solutions, conducting on‑site troubleshooting training, providing driver training, writing field visit reports, developing troubleshooting guides, reviewing and responding to field data requests, reviewing manuals, and creating training materials for field personnel.

Travel: 50% travel required (about 10‑15 days/month) throughout the Western U.S. region to provide on‑site technical support for quality issues and on‑site troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in a related role in the Commercial Air Conditioning field. Must also possess experience with AHU, VRF, commissioning service, centrifugal chillers, GHP air conditioning systems, networks for remote monitoring, prototype and custom design for energy performance and environmental impact and maintenance.
