Project Manager, Operations Manager

Position Overview

As a Project Manager for our Prepared Foods Division, you will report to the Manager of Project Performance. This role is based in Alpharetta, GA, and is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office and two days remote. You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and live within 50 miles of the facility.

• Manage an average of 10–15 aftermarket service-related projects aligned to warranty on manufactured OEM equipment, coordinating with sales, service, and engineering teams to drive projects to completion.
• Maintain project budgets, align with financial forecasts, and meet revenue goals.
• Work with spare parts and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery and installation support for aftermarket projects while mitigating risks to project timelines.
• Collaborate with field service personnel to minimize downtime of in-process equipment through phone troubleshooting and routing of appropriate service staff to customer sites.
• Partner with Customer Care Sales to process sales leads, create budgets, analyze project risks, and develop written quotes or proposals.
• Meet customer expectations regarding scope of work, project schedule, and buyer/seller responsibilities.
• Secure sign-off from customers upon agreement and completion of mechanical and production start‑up responsibilities.

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or equivalent project‑management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of project‑management experience in a capital‑equipment environment.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP through PMI or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings (a plus).
• Strong interpersonal skills with aptitude for interfacing with co‑workers, customers, and suppliers.
• Proficiency in problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and preventive/corrective action techniques.
• Excellent reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience in developing, monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project budgets.
• Strong organizational, negotiating, planning, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Travel up to 20% required.
• Working knowledge of ERP business‑system software a plus.
• Experience with project management aligned to manufactured products, aftermarket warranty activities, or sales.
• Technical background in manufacturing, fabrication, and/or construction disciplines preferred.
• Experience with supplier/procurement processes.
