Job SummaryThe Global S&OP Manager will oversee planning for Enclosed Power Solutions and Switchgear products in Large Electric Power Solutions. The role will build and manage the Global S&OP process across multiple manufacturing facilities and functional areas, driving process adoption and discipline with data‑driven communication.
What You Will Do- Integrate demand, supply, and financial planning into forward‑thinking plans with input from sales, technical sales, program management, manufacturing, distribution, and finance.
- Link strategic plans to operational plans, developing the most beneficial production plan and strategic planning beyond the execution window.
- Manage supply response communications across 3 internal facilities and 10+ external manufacturing facilities.
- Coordinate demand planning, network optimization, and capacity planning across departments and regions.
- Analyze forecast quality and accuracy, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Analyze and solve business problems, identifying root causes and driving forward‑looking opportunities.
- Develop and use statistical modeling to support decision‑making.
- Liaise with operational management teams on all resource‑planning matters.
- Own process cadence and strict schedule, communicating outcomes to senior leaders.
- Accuracy and attention to detail; high precision in completing tasks.
- Analytical thinking; expertise in techniques and tools for effective analysis.
- Capacity planning & management experience in manufacturing.
- Data gathering & analysis skills; ability to collect and synthesize data from multiple stakeholders.
- Planning and organizing ability; systematic approach to time and resource management.
- Detailed S&OP experience managing multiple data inputs and providing accurate responses.
- Deep knowledge of ERP systems and Caterpillar internal ordering systems; understanding forecast transposition into real demand.
- Data manipulation and presentation skills to drive team and processes forward in a growth environment.
