This position is specific to Building Automation Systems such as Tridium, Metasys, Desigo, Distech, Eco Sctruxure etc. NOT C++, C#, Java, JavaScript or other programming languages. Only apply if you have block programming experience with Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure Building operation system, (Desigo) Siemens Building automation system or (Metasys) Johnson Controls system or other DDC Systems.
As an Application Engineer, a typical day for you might include:
- Expertise in Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure Building operation system, Siemens Building automation system or Johnson Controls systems.
- Experience providing high quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, contractors, engineers, and fellow team members.
- Working as part of a team that is responsible for the programming, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of DDC building automation systems.
- Configuring, programming, and customizing control systems to meet project-specific needs.
- Creation of software programs and front-end graphics.
- Commissioning on projects.
- Analyzing problems and resolving issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
- Performing system diagnostics and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Coordinating customer training and complete closeout documents.
- Providing technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.

This employee typically works under daily supervision of a Project Manager and reports into an Engineering or Software Manager.
This position does not offer sponsorship for work permit applications or renewals, either now or in the future. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship, both currently and moving forward.
For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
