Who: A renewable energy infrastructure company is seeking a Portfolio Finance Manager to oversee commercial and financial performance of energy storage projects.
What: Manage project accounting compliance, contract administration, forecasting, internal controls, and financial performance across a portfolio of construction projects.
When: This is a full-time position with immediate start availability.
Where: Based in Houston, Texas, primarily onsite with collaboration across the Americas region.

Job Description: The Portfolio Finance Manager reports to the Director of Portfolio Finance and is responsible for managing the financial and commercial performance of a portfolio of energy infrastructure projects, ensuring accounting compliance, contract adherence, risk management, and strong operational controls throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain full financial responsibility for a portfolio of projects across the Americas region.
- Partner with project managers to track budget performance and maintain monthly Estimates at Completion for revenue, cost, and margin.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and commercial contract terms.
- Prepare accurate forecasts incorporating risks and opportunities.
- Execute Order-to-Cash internal controls and process project-related transactions.
- Drive project performance improvements through change orders and supplier claims.
- Monitor contract penalties, guarantees, and liquidated damages exposure.
- Organize lifecycle project reviews and report non-conformance costs.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to support delivery timelines and quality standards.
- Oversee tax considerations including sales, property, and personal tax requirements.
- Improve project onboarding and execution processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of experience managing large infrastructure or energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting methods including POC revenue recognition.
- Advanced understanding of commercial contracts, risk management, and project lifecycle.
- Experience negotiating with customers and suppliers.
- Proficiency in systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Primavera, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong MS Office proficiency.
- MBA or CPA preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency a plus.
