Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Property Compliance Analyst will complete a variety of assignments related to tenant file compliance with Section 42, focusing specifically on 24 CFR Part 5 related to income eligibility and other designated assignments. The role requires judgment in interpreting regulations, identifying risk areas, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of compliance engagements. Location options include Atlanta, GA;
Austin, TX;
Bellevue, WA;
Cleveland, OH;
Dover, OH;
Long Beach, CA; or Portland, OR, with flexible arrangements where business needs allow.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and produce accurate reports.
- Identify, analyze, and communicate potential problem areas during engagements, recommending actions as appropriate.
- Perform research on federal and state compliance regulations and apply findings under supervisory guidance.
- Work within a deadline‑driven environment, meeting established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Meet or exceed established file review productivity benchmarks.
- Develop client relationships through professionalism and follow‑through.
- Execute other duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Section 42 experience with a focus on 24 CFR Part 5 related to income eligibility, or an equivalent balance of education and direct work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Professional certifications (e.g., COS, HCCP) strongly preferred; candidates without certification must demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain applicable certification within one year of employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of tenant file compliance rules and regulations, including the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to understand and apply compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and complete work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow direction, accept constructive feedback, and make adjustments as needed.
- Team‑oriented collaboration and contribution of ideas that add value.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and report writing tools.
- Professional demeanor with coworkers and clients, adherence to internal firm deadlines and administrative requirements (e.g., time entry).
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed and travel domestically (expected 25‑35% of the time).
- Base salary range $61,000 to $83,000, depending on experience; performance can result in higher compensation.
