The organization partners with manufacturers, dealers, and financial sponsors to provide customized revolving credit facilities while maintaining a disciplined credit culture and strong risk management framework. They are currently looking to add a Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter to their team.

Position OverviewThe Senior Commercial Credit Underwriter will be responsible for analyzing, structuring, and underwriting complex commercial credit facilities, with a primary focus on inventory finance and floor plan lending. This role will prepare comprehensive written credit narratives for large dealer relationships and transactions typically valued at $10MM and above. This is a contract position.
Responsibilities- Prepare credit memoranda and financial analyses for dealer relationships, evaluating cash flow, liquidity, leverage, collateral, and repayment capacity.
- Structure and underwrite inventory finance and revolving credit facilities, including covenants, collateral controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Issue credit decisions within authority limits and support larger transactions in partnership with originations, credit leadership, and senior management.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, legal documentation, and collateral records to assess risk and ensure compliance.
- Present credit recommendations, monitor portfolio performance, and support ongoing risk management and process improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years of commercial lending, underwriting, credit analysis, or financial analysis experience.
- Direct floor plan lending experience and a proven track record underwriting commercial transactions of $10MM+.
- Strong knowledge of asset-based lending, inventory finance, revolving credit facilities, and dealer-based lending structures.
- Advanced financial analysis skills, including financial statement spreading, tax return analysis, and credit ratio evaluation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with borrowing base analysis, collateral audits, and dealer-based or inventory-heavy lending relationships.
- Knowledge of collateral monitoring, covenant compliance, portfolio risk management, and credit process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
