Responsibility as a Financial Reporting Manager

This role will report to the VP of Finance and is intended be a lead in the financial reporting function including the month end close process and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The Financial Reporting Manager will ensure that all statements and documents comply with the company’s regulations and professional accounting standards. An ideal candidate will have a CPA certification.

A highly motivated, team player with strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC Reporting to include 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc, annual report, registration and proxy statements. You must be a strong, self-starting, organized, dedicated, flexible, and energetic individual with a high level of integrity. You are a “go-to” person that enjoys learning and accomplishing tasks in a fast paced, team environment. Have exemplary communication skills for interfacing with a variety of personnel over multiple departments?

Skills and Experience:

• Lead the financial reporting function including involvement in the month end close process and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC Reporting, annual report, registration and proxy statements.
• Maintain current knowledge and familiarity with published accounting principles, rules, bulletins, opinions, concepts, practices and procedures.
• Ensure that all statements and documents comply with the company’s regulations and professional accounting standards.
• Assist in SOX compliance process and company-wide internal and external audits.
• Interfacing with a variety of personnel over multiple departments.
• Experience with financial software applications.

Experience with the following is a plus:

• CPA Certification is a plus.
• Coordination with multi-location companies.

Qualifications:

• Only Atlanta, GA based candidates will be considered.
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• 4-7 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting or financial analysis, larger public company experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with SEC Reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
