Job OverviewThe Ceded Reinsurance Reporting Analyst (CRM) supports AXIS’s global ceded reinsurance reporting and collateral functions. The CRM reports to the Ceded Re Lead and helps enable the company’s ceded reinsurance strategy by ensuring accurate, timely reporting and support of regulatory and corporate requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparation and analysis of ceded reinsurance results for Group/legal entities/business units for financial close and reporting.
- Support reinsurance reporting, including monthly or quarterly reports to committees/boards and Group/legal entities.
- Provide regional ceded reporting, covering US STAT, Bermuda, Canada, Lloyd’s, Solvency II and USGAAP.
- Prepare regulatory reports such as quarterly SEC supplement, Solvency II templates, QRTS, Singapore MAS reports, and syndicate reports.
- Assist in the creation of other reports and analysis, including reinsurance recoverable reports, risk transfer analysis, and memos.
- Support the Pro Cede ScheduleF module administration.
- Manage ceded collateral responsibilities:
- Review and report collateral related to ceded reinsurance contracts.
- Coordinate market reporting and collateral increases, and return of over funding per contract terms.
- Conduct quarterly review of balances and collateral for captives.
- Manage and safeguard ceded collateral such as letters of credit, trusts, and withheld funds.
- Provide regulatory compliance support for collateral matters.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure accurate communication and timely responses.
- Support the reporting team to maintain timely and accurate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with operational controls, including SOX controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
- 1–5 years of reinsurance reporting experience.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and advanced Excel knowledge.
- Internationally recognized qualification (CPA, CA, ARe, CPCU) or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of retrocession and/or third‑party capital industry reporting is a plus.
- Experience with ceded reinsurance and financial systems (Pro Cede and Oracle/Smart View) is a plus.
- Highly motivated, organized, and accountable with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective team player who collaborates with internal and external customers.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including report writing and relationship development.
- Highly numerate with analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
