Ceded Re Reporting Analyst

This role is part of AXIS Capital’s Ceded Reinsurance Finance and Operations function, focusing on global ceded reinsurance reporting and collateral management. The analyst will support preparation and analysis of ceded reinsurance results, produce regulatory and committee reports, manage collateral balances, and maintain compliance with SOX controls.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparation and analysis of ceded reinsurance results for group/legal entities/business units during financial close and reporting.
  • Produce and submit reinsurance reporting (monthly, quarterly) to committees, boards and group/legal entities.
  • Coordinate regional ceded reporting including US STAT, Bermuda, Canada, Lloyds, Solvency II and US GAAP, and prepare regulatory reports such as SEC supplement, Solvency II templates, QRTS, Singapore MAS reports, Syndicate reports.
  • Support preparation of reinsurance recoverable reports, risk‑transfer analysis and related memos.
  • Administer Pro Cede ScheduleF module.
  • Assist in collateral reviews, reporting and management of letters of credit, trusts, and funds withheld.
  • Coordinate with internal/external clients to obtain collateral increases and return of over‑funding, and conduct quarterly balance and collateral reviews for captives.
  • Ensure compliance with operational controls, including SOX controls.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting for the reporting team.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in reinsurance reporting.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge mandatory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Pro Cede, Oracle/Smart View or other ceded reinsurance financial systems preferable.
  • Internally recognized qualifications (CPA, CA, ARe, CPCU) or equivalent experience desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of retrocession or third‑party capital operations and reporting.
  • Experience with ceded reinsurance and financial systems such as Pro Cede and Oracle/Smart View.
