Pandya Medical Center is seeking a full‑time Certified Medical Assistant for our Alpharetta location with a minimum of 2 years experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., urinalysis)
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Perform EKGs and other diagnostic tests
- Maintain infection control and sterilize equipment
- Document patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to Providers
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic clinical and laboratory skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Medical Assistant
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certification such as:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) – CMA credential
- National Health career Association (NHA) – CCMA credential
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
