We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Technical Writer to ensure the accurate, concise, and effective delivery of enterprise-level infrastructure documentation. This role focuses on creating internal support documentation for complex data center and cloud platforms and works closely with infrastructure engineering teams across multiple disciplines.

• Research and analyze requirements for new infrastructure environment builds, including on-prem and cloud solutions.
• Independently study proposed data center and cloud architectures, hardware components, and associated systems.
• Create and maintain complex Visio flow diagrams illustrating transaction flows, network connectivity, and system components.
• Partner with project managers to define documentation strategies, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams (Windows, Unix, Cloud, Network, Security, SQL DB, Monitoring) to gather technical inputs.
• Author and publish documentation for two audiences:
  • Online HTML knowledge articles for Operations Support teams
  • Infrastructure reference guides for Platform Engineering teams
• Host virtual documentation handoff sessions using Microsoft Teams
  .
• Participate in peer reviews, mentoring, and documentation best-practice initiatives within a centralized documentation team.

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, English, or related field preferred)
• 10+ years of experience producing technical documentation, preferably in infrastructure, systems, hardware, or data center environments
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • Server farms and enterprise infrastructure
  • Network protocols, WAN/LAN configurations
  • Firewall and security concepts
  • System and application monitoring tools
• Advanced Visio diagramming skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work closely with engineers and translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Self-starter with strong analytical skills and a passion for learning new technologies
• Experience hosting both large and small Microsoft Teams meetings
• Familiarity with documentation standards and collaborative documentation processes
• Hands-on experience with Service Now Knowledge Base is a plus
