PC Deployment/Imaging Technician - Direct HireJob Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Depot Technician with at least one year of professional experience to support PC and laptop imaging operations in a fast-paced depot environment. This role is responsible for configuring, imaging, and preparing computer hardware for deployment while ensuring quality standards and productivity targets are met.
Key Responsibilities- Perform imaging and re-imaging of desktops and laptops using standardized deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT, Intune, or similar platforms)
- Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows 10/11 preferred)
- Load and verify required software applications per client specifications
- Conduct hardware diagnostics and basic troubleshooting (RAM, HDD/SSD, peripherals, etc.)
- Ensure proper asset tagging, labeling, and documentation of completed units
- Maintain accurate records of completed work in ticketing or inventory systems
- Wipe and sanitize devices according to company and client data security standards
- Meet daily production and quality metrics
- Assist with staging, kitting, packaging, and shipping preparation as needed
- Maintain an organized and clean workbench and depot area
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a technical support, hardware repair, or depot environment
- Hands‑on experience imaging PCs and laptops
- Familiarity with Windows OS installation and configuration
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components
- Experience using ticketing systems and asset management tools
- Ability to follow documented processes and procedures with attention to detail
- Strong time‑management skills in a production‑driven environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Experience with SCCM, MDT, Autopilot, or other deployment tools
- CompTIA A+ certification (or working toward certification)
- Experience in high‑volume staging or warehouse/depot operations
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
