IT Systems Engineer with strong expertise in automation scripting, identity/access management, and enterprise printer configuration
. The ideal candidate will support system administration tasks, streamline operations through automation, and ensure secure, reliable access to corporate resources through Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities.
Location:
- Alpharetta, GA
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power Shell scripts for automation of system tasks, user provisioning, reporting, and configuration management.
- Automate routine administrative tasks to improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing scripts; ensure compliance with security and coding standards.
- Integrate Power Shell with Active Directory, Windows Server, Azure AD, and other enterprise tools.
- Manage and configure SSO integrations across applications using SAML, OAuth, OIDC, or related protocols.
- Support identity and access management initiatives including MFA, user lifecycle management, and authentication workflows.
- Work with application teams to onboard and test new SSO-enabled applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot authentication failures, federation issues, and access problems.
- Install, configure, and manage network printers, print queues, and print servers.
- Deploy printers using Group Policy or automated deployment methods.
- Troubleshoot printing issues including driver conflicts, connectivity problems, and performance issues.
- Maintain printer inventory, perform firmware updates, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- 6-8+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration or enterprise support.
- Strong proficiency in Power Shell scripting (functions, modules, automation frameworks).
- Experience implementing or supporting SSO in enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of identity providers (Azure AD, Okta, ADFS, Ping, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of printer setup, configuration, drivers, and print servers.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Experience with Azure, Intune, or MDM solutions.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Familiarity with automation tools (SCCM, Intune, JAMF, PDQ, etc.).
- Scripting knowledge beyond Power Shell (Python, Bash).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Collaborative team player in fast-paced environments.
