We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Application Operations Engineer to support and optimize the reliability, performance, and compliance of application‑specific services. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of application operations—deployments, monitoring, incident response, automation, and communication with key stakeholders.
You will work in small, collaborative engineering teams and use both technical expertise and creativity to ensure the stability, scalability, and availability of applications within the Treasury application space.
What You’ll Do- Manage Deployment Pipelines:
Own and maintain application‑specific CI/CD pipelines. Coordinate releases, validate deployment artifacts, and ensure stable rollouts across environments. - Build Monitoring & Observability:
Develop dashboards, configure alerts, and integrate telemetry to provide visibility into application health and performance. - Enhance Incident Response:
Implement anomaly detection, establish triage workflows, and collaborate with support and engineering teams to accelerate root‑cause analysis. - Automate Operations:
Create scripts, tools, and automation processes to reduce manual tasks and streamline operations across CI/CD, monitoring, and incident management. - Create Documentation:
Maintain runbooks, operational guides, and knowledge articles aligned with best practices and team needs. - Support Compliance:
Ensure adherence to internal and external governance, security, and risk requirements. Implement controls and participate in audit readiness. - Stakeholder Communication:
Deliver consistent updates on application performance, incidents, and operational metrics to technical and business partners. - Manage Certificates:
Oversee lifecycle management of application certificates, ensuring secure communication and compliance. Automate certificate processes where possible. - Apply SRE Practices:
Define and monitor SLOs, track error budgets, and implement fault tolerance, capacity planning, and performance optimization strategies.
- Strong SQL experience (writing ad hoc queries, building tables)
- CI/CD deployment experience
- Dev Ops/system administration experience with Windows servers and some Linux exposure
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in application operations, Dev Ops, or site reliability engineering.
- Experience with n‑tier architectures, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud‑native technologies, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
- Hands‑on expertise with monitoring/observability platforms such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
- Strong scripting and automation skills with a focus on reducing manual work.
- Experience working in Agile environments with strong collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, with familiarity applying SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, resilience engineering).

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alpharetta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $50.00/hr.
