Release Management Process Analyst

Job Description

Responsible for managing and coordinating application releases, infrastructure maintenance, and deployment activities across non‑production and production environments. Oversees end‑to‑end release processes including planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, dependency management, implementation, and back‑out strategies to ensure stable and compliant deployments. Collaborates cross‑functionally with Development, Dev Ops, QA, Operations, Architecture, and business teams to support CI/CD initiatives, deployment automation, and enterprise change management standards.

Key responsibilities include administering and troubleshooting build and deployment processes using tools such as Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Datadog, and Rundeck; supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines; coordinating database refreshes and environment checkouts; monitoring environment stability; and ensuring adherence to change management policies and audit requirements. Acts as a primary point of contact for release execution, go‑live coordination, deployment validation, and post‑release support while driving process improvements, automation, documentation, and Dev Ops best practices.

Provides occasional after‑hours support and participates in a rotating 24/7 on‑call schedule within a hybrid work environment.

• Develop, analyze, and manage Application deployment and infrastructure maintenance plans.
• Identify dependencies, mitigate risks and scheduling conflicts.
• Supervise progress to implementation plan and design a backout strategy.
• Work cross‑functionally to facilitate applications and infrastructure changes to pre and production environments using deployment automation tools.
• Secure applications checkout resources and facilitate checkouts in controlled environments.
• Monitor/police environment changes and ensure stability and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Change Management Guidelines, provide guidance to IT Delivery Teams in establishing discipline around Build Delivery and Release process.
• Plan, communicate and coordinate database refresh activities for controlled environments.
• Create and/or maintain process documentation/workflows, knowledge articles and self‑service guidance for applicable IT Services.
• Coordinate automated and manual deployment of various applications within the organization to non‑production and production environments, utilizing tools like Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Datadog, and Rundeck.
• Process builds using Git Hub (Dev Ops tool) and triage and solve any build issue that may occur.
• Regularly work with software developers, production managers, testers, vendors, and others on the production process.
• Work with developers and Dev Ops to develop & improve automation for application deployment to support the department's goal of complete automation.
• Manage build, release, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD) processes for software product releases.
• Support and improve company's tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Work closely with Operations and Development to identify application candidates for automation to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Work closely with the development team, Dev Ops, and architecture team to define best practices in the area of build and deployment and implement the adopted solutions.
• Work with the team to adopt Dev Ops and related practices and be an active advisor of best practices to our development partners.
• Create install plans for applications based on set instructions while collaborating with the development team. Coordinate walkthroughs with different teams supporting the deployment to ensure that proper steps, sequence of events, timings, and dependencies are identified prior to the deployment.
• Lead and coordinate all go‑live activities including scheduling for on‑time delivery, execution of the release plan and alignment across key partners, and post‑release monitoring. Once these steps are identified, act as the point of contact for these activities and perform the actual installation of applications using automation.
