The Platform Solution Management Team is responsible for defining and enabling cross-platform business solutions that meet client needs over time. Solutions are products, services, or systems that provide value to the client, internal or external to the PPA enterprise. We collaborate with multiple teams to understand solution context and define the solution vision, intent, roadmap and capability set. We manage changes to the solution vision or roadmap based on enterprise objectives and strategy.
AboutThe Role
The Technical Project Manager is a project management expert with overall accountability for the technical project delivery roadmap and product success. The role collaborates with engineering teams, business leaders, and other stakeholders to set a vision, define priorities, execute an ambitious agenda, and be accountable for product results and evolution. The role interacts and presents information across the organization with technology and business stakeholders.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Leading and managing large, complex enterprise-level projects
- Define, shape and drive product and technology roadmap; create clarity to guide plans and drive success
- Meet business objectives by designing, implementing, and guiding programs to completion
- Create fast and effective solutions when issues arise
- Document all aspects of work and present progress to leadership and stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage relationships at all organizational levels
- Develop a program plan, including goals, scope, schedule, and resources
- Align program objectives with the company’s strategic goals and priorities
- Establish project tasks and milestones
- Assign responsibilities to team members
- Monitor progress and update as necessary
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders; create progress reports
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and external partners to meet objectives and deliverables
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting delivery; ensure deadlines and budgets
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during projects
- Identify areas for improvement in project management practices
- Engage with program/process owners and partners to communicate objectives, strategy, tactics and progress; drive alignment
- Facilitate communication between IT and the business to establish software engineering priorities, work direction, and best practices
- Drive effective teamwork and collaboration across groups with competing priorities while maintaining strong relationships
- Balance member, business, and technical goals with available resources
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work/education experience
- Minimum 7+ years of experience leading complex development and integration projects, strategy, business analysis or system analysis; preferably in the finance/asset management industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication with technology and business partners
- Advanced experience with scaled Agile software development processes
- Demonstrated success leading and directing others to achieve measurable results
- Ability to empathically understand and articulate user needs
- Ability to articulate solution or product vision to meet business objectives
- Advanced skills documenting workflows and data mapping using tools such as Miro/Lucid, Excel, SQL and Visio
- Understanding of analysis and artifact goals throughout the solution lifecycle
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a changing environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to independently manage timelines and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage and coordinate simultaneous project deliverables across groups
- Strong experience with Agile, Miro/Lucid, SQL, Excel, Visio, Balsamiq, Jira, Tableau
- Experience with AWS Step Functions and Camunda workflow tools
